Publication Ethics
Jurnal Pendidikan Islam Azzahro (JPIA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the ethical guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to ethical standards in order to ensure the integrity of scholarly publishing.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to JPIA must ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
Authors must properly acknowledge the work of others and cite relevant publications appropriately. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented in their manuscripts. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of research data constitutes unethical behavior and will not be tolerated.
Authors should also disclose any conflict of interest that may influence the interpretation of their research results.
All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as authors. Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for making decisions regarding which manuscripts should be published in the journal. Editorial decisions must be based on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope.
Editors must evaluate manuscripts without discrimination regarding the authors’ race, gender, religion, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political beliefs.
Editors must ensure that all submitted manuscripts are treated confidentially. Information regarding submitted manuscripts must not be disclosed to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial staff.
Editors must also avoid conflicts of interest and must not use unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality of the journal by assisting editors in making editorial decisions.
Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively and provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and should not share or use unpublished materials for personal advantage.
If a reviewer detects any significant similarity between the manuscript under review and other published works, the reviewer must inform the editor immediately.
Reviewers should also declare any conflict of interest that could affect their impartiality.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher of JPIA, Yayasan Amal Azzahro Indonesia, is committed to supporting the editorial team in maintaining academic integrity and ethical publishing practices.
The publisher ensures that editorial decisions remain independent and free from commercial or institutional influence.
