Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original research articles to the Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance (JIEF). Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in another journal.

The journal publishes scholarly articles related to Islamic economics, Islamic finance, Islamic banking, zakat and waqf management, halal industry, Islamic financial technology, and other related topics.

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English or Indonesian.

General requirements for manuscript submission:

  1. The manuscript should be an original work and free from plagiarism.

  2. The article length should be approximately 6000–8000 words including references.

  3. The manuscript should include the following sections:

    • Title

    • Author Name and Affiliation

    • Abstract (150–250 words)

    • Keywords (3–5 keywords)

    • Introduction

    • Research Method

    • Results

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • References

  4. References should follow APA Style (7th Edition).

  5. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data and references used in the manuscript.

  6. All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the journal online submission system.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting the manuscript, authors must confirm the following:

  1. The manuscript is an original work and has not been published previously nor submitted to another journal for consideration.

  2. The manuscript follows the Author Guidelines of the Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance.

  3. The manuscript file is in Microsoft Word format.

  4. All references cited in the text are included in the reference list and follow APA Style (7th Edition).

  5. The manuscript has been carefully checked for grammar, spelling, and formatting.

  6. The authors agree to the journal’s publication policies including peer review and ethical standards.
