Author Guidelines

Jurnal Hukum Islam Azzahro (JHIA) publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and literature reviews in the field of Islamic law. The journal focuses on topics related to Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), Islamic legal thought, Islamic family law, maqashid al-sharia, and contemporary issues in Islamic legal studies.

Submitted manuscripts must represent original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity.

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

Manuscripts must be written in English using Book Antiqua font with single line spacing. The manuscript should be prepared on A4 paper size with the following margin settings: top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left 3 cm, and right 2.5 cm.

The length of the manuscript should be between 6000 and 8000 words (approximately 15–20 pages), excluding references.

ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS

The abstract must be written in English in a single paragraph consisting of 150–250 words. It should clearly explain the research background, objectives, methods, main findings, and implications of the study.

Authors should provide 3–5 keywords representing the main topics of the article.

REFERENCES

All references must follow APA Style 7th Edition. Authors are required to use at least 20 references, with at least 80 percent derived from academic journal articles and at least 80 percent published within the last ten years.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency in citation formatting.

TABLES AND FIGURES

Tables and figures must be clearly numbered and referred to in the text. Table titles should be placed above the table, while figure titles should be placed below the figure.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system available on the journal website. Authors are required to follow all submission instructions provided by the system and ensure that the manuscript conforms to the journal template before submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission complies with all the following requirements. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines may be returned to the authors.

• The manuscript is an original work and has not been previously published, nor is it under consideration for publication in another journal.

• The manuscript file is prepared using the journal template and written in accordance with the Author Guidelines of Jurnal Hukum Islam Azzahro.

• The manuscript is written in English and contains between 6000 and 8000 words.

• The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, including the use of APA Style (7th Edition) for references.

• All tables, figures, and illustrations are properly numbered and cited within the text.

• The manuscript includes an abstract of 150–250 words and 3–5 keywords.

• The manuscript file has been carefully proofread to ensure clarity of language and academic writing quality.

• All references cited in the text are listed in the reference section and vice versa.

Bagian ini memuat artikel hasil penelitian asli di bidang Hukum Islam yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya dan tidak sedang dalam proses penilaian di jurnal lain. 

Naskah akan melalui proses seleksi awal oleh editor dan dilanjutkan dengan double-blind peer review oleh mitra bestari yang kompeten di bidangnya.
